Is the basement of your house unfinished? If your answer to that question is yes, then leave the basement that way. It will cost you money to finish, and it is not worth it in the long run. To avoid overdoing your upgrades, you can take a look at other houses in your neighborhood. If your add-ons are too much, your target will be the high-end buyers, and this may not be what your neighborhood is known for. In addition, it can also chase away buyers who love your neighborhood, but cannot afford to pay the high price.
